ABOUT ME
I started my coaching method with one goal in mind: to help people to trust in themselves, their bodies and their own lifestyle decisions again. My background in the Fitness and Coaching Industries combined with my journey with being late diagnosed Autistic myself made me realise how important it is to share tools that encourage people to play with creative autonomy instead of giving a set of rules and plans.
“AmandaJayneThrives is a lifestyle planning business which teaches AuDHD business owners and busy professionals how to plan their lifestyle, food, and exercise in ways that fit their unique energy - so they can feel more organised, confident and energised.”
About Amanda Jayne
Late recognised Autistic and ADHD herself, Amanda Jayne first started teaching within the fitness industry in 2008 and has worked as a Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor across the UK after receiving a BA in Fashion Design for Industry and realising she actually wanted to work in the Fitness Industry, so she retrained!
Though she didn’t know at the time she was Autistic or ADHD, she found herself forever modifying what she had learned in formal training around exercise and nutrition to better fit her unique needs and those of her Personal Training clients. Fed up with meeting so many amazing people who felt disheartened by exercise and diets, she set her heart on finding a way to teach her clients in such a way where co-creation was at the heart of their work together - whilst she had the tools, they knew themselves better than anyone else - and so began a method where reverse engineering goals to create fitness, lifestyle and food planning around chosen activities rather than ‘shoulds’ became her professional standard.
Formerly UK National PT Ambassador for Fitness First UK, she represented the company at a national level alongside her teaching and coaching clients, contributing to magazines such as Women's Health, Fit & Well, Women's Running, InStyle, GQ and The Daily Mail as a Health & Fitness Expert.
She also wrote the Pre-Race Prep for the Official Coaching Course for The Royal Parks Half Marathon in 2015 and taught as the Head Performance Cycle Coach in Pure Ride Cycle Studio in Barbican. London where she taught power, endurance and mixed performance cycle classes based on veledrome and road cycling.
In 2018 her former business StrongMamaMoves, delivering mum and baby exercise classes, PT coaching and social events was a finalist in the Raring2Go awards for Best Business Set Up in 2018.
Personally, Amanda has competed in 7 Bodybuilding Shows in the Bikini Division including WBFF, UKBFF, Miami Pro, TFE and The Silver City Classic with a highest placing of third and has ran in multiple 5K, 10K and Half Marathon distances. Multi-passionate, Amanda loves to try new sports often and has also enjoyed learning to surf, skateboard, swim and do yoga and pilates; and she no longer counts calories or weighs food, or do forced, set routines; instead honouring her unique energy ebbs and flows and making things as much of a sensory delight as possible.
She also loves to journal, make art, DJ, spend time with her favourite people and be a world-class hermit that goes on squillion mile stimmy walks , because why the hell not?!
TESTIMONIALS
Audacious living METHOD
-

awaken
It all starts with learning all about who you are, your sensory needs and preferences; your core values; and discovering what you truly want for yourself.
-

Reflect
Next, you’ll reflect on what may be blocking you, and where you can release the shoulds to make way for what fits your unique sensory and energetic needs.
-

Engage
The last step? Taking small aligned actions to find out what fits and what doesn’t. Letting it be fun, messy and imperfect. If change is the only constant, why not choose the change and make it yours! <3
